Building Brighter
Building Brighter brings together the energy behind three powerful movements to solve some of our biggest problems today-- the drive to end homelessness, the excitement building around sustainable tiny homes, and the urgent shift to a renewable energy world in order to avert the worst effects of climate change. Joining with a number of other organizations across North America, our goal is to end homelessness by 2040.
Veterans Service Corp
Veteran Service Corps was formed by a group of the veterans who answered the call of Native American Veterans to stand with them at Standing Rock in December 2016 to oppose violent actions taken by law enforcement and an illegal corporate security firm. The event marked the largest gathering of Veterans since the Bonus Army of 1932 and was covered by every major news outlet.
Today VSC operates a 40 acre ranch in Promise, S.D. that supports recovering veterans and looks to inject sustainable economic development into the local First Nation Cheyenne River Sioux community.
